Coordination

Construction Administration Support

Ongoing drawing support through construction: RFIs, submittals, field sketches, and plan revisions on demand.

Available Services

Six request types. 24–48 hour response.

Construction Administration Support keeps your project moving from permit approval through final inspection. Once a building permit is issued, field conditions, contractor questions, and inspector requests generate a steady stream of documentation needs: RFI responses, submittal drawings, field sketches, and plan revisions. We provide fast, professionally formatted responses so the job site never waits on drawings.

How to Engage

Retainer or per-request.

Monthly Retainer

Best for active construction projects. A defined number of drawing hours per month at priority response rates. Predictable cost, guaranteed availability.

Best for

Active construction / 4–8 hrs/month

Per-Request

Best for occasional CA needs. Submit each request individually with scope and reference drawings. We confirm fee and turnaround before starting.

Best for

Occasional needs / variable scope

How It Works

From request to delivery.

  • Retainer Engagement

Most CA clients engage on a monthly retainer that covers a defined number of drawing hours per month. Retainer engagements have priority response times and predictable monthly cost.

  • Per-Request Engagement

For projects with variable CA needs, we work on a per-request basis. Requests are submitted with a scope description; we confirm scope, turnaround, and fee before starting.

  • Request Intake

Each request is submitted with the RFI or field question, reference drawings, and any field photos. We confirm the request scope and turnaround time at intake.

  • Drawing Delivery

Responses are delivered as stamped, formatted drawing files ready for the RFI log, submittal package, or inspector review. All files are tracked and logged by request number.

What You Get

Documented, tracked, job-ready.

  • RFI Response Drawings

Formatted drawing responses to contractor RFIs (plans, details, or sections) ready to attach to the RFI log and distribute to the field.

  • Submittal Drawing Support

Drawing documentation in support of contractor submittals: shop drawing coordination, equipment rough-in confirmation, and dimension verification.

  • Field Sketch Production

Fast-turnaround field sketches for conditions discovered during construction that require a drawing resolution before work can continue.

  • Plan Revision Packages

Formally revised plan sheets addressing scope changes, inspector corrections, or field-verified conditions, ready for building department re-submission if required.

  • Change Order Documentation

Drawing documentation for change orders (revised scope, added work, or deleted work) formatted for the project record and, if required, for permit revision.

  • Request Log and Tracking

All CA requests are logged by number, date, scope, and status. A running log is maintained and available for project record review at any time.

Common Questions

Frequently asked.

  • Does CA support replace the engineer of record?

No. We handle drawing production and documentation. Structural, geotechnical, or life-safety questions that require a licensed engineer of record remain with the EOR. We coordinate with the EOR where needed and document the coordination.

  • What is the typical retainer structure?

Retainers are scoped by drawing hours per month. A typical active construction project requires 4–8 hours of CA drawing support per month. We size the retainer to your project's expected volume at the start of construction.

  • How do I submit a request?

By email with the RFI number or field description, reference drawing sheets, and any relevant field photos. We confirm scope and turnaround within 4 business hours.

  • What if my project has a fast-track schedule?

Fast-track projects are accommodated with priority scheduling. We confirm availability at the start of the engagement and flag any periods where capacity may be limited.
