Interior Detail Package

Kitchen, bath, stair, and millwork elevations built to pass interior plan check.

Drawings

Interior drawings built for permit approval.

Interior Detail Packages provide the room-level drawing documentation that building departments and inspectors require for kitchen remodels, bathroom renovations, stair replacements, and custom millwork scopes. We produce complete interior elevation sets, cabinet layout drawings, stair section details, shower waterproofing details, and millwork dimension schedules. Every sheet is drawn to the standard required by the applicable jurisdiction, so the package moves through plan check without corrections.

Why This Matters

The plan checker assigned to a kitchen or bathroom remodel is looking at three things: the waterproofing details, the cabinet heights, and the ventilation. If any one of those is missing or unclear, the package comes back as a correction. Interior detail drawings that address exactly what the plan checker needs to see are the only way to move a remodel permit through on the first review. Generic floor plans are not enough.

Common corrections we prevent

  • Missing waterproofing details on shower pans and wet wall assemblies
  • Unlabeled cabinet heights triggering ADA review on commercial kitchens
  • Missing handrail profile and dimensions for stair permit drawings
  • No fire blocking shown at stair soffit and adjacent wall cavities
  • Structural header not shown or sized at window openings in bearing walls

How We Work

Scope Confirmation

We confirm the rooms, fixture types, cabinet configurations, and stair conditions in scope. Any field measurement data, photos, or existing drawings you have are incorporated at intake.

Elevation Drawing

Each room is drawn in elevation at the required scale. Upper and lower cabinet heights are dimensioned. Appliance locations, outlets, and tile extents are shown. Window and door openings are referenced.

Detail Drawing

Where required by the jurisdiction or by the scope, we produce detail drawings: shower pan assembly, stair section with handrail profile, window sill flashing at wet walls, and fire blocking at stair soffits.

Coordination and Notes

All drawings are coordinated against the floor plan and against each other. Jurisdiction-specific notes are added: waterproofing membrane callouts, blocking requirements, ADA notes where applicable.

Package Assembly

All sheets are numbered, indexed, and compiled into a PDF package formatted for the building department's submission requirements.

Common Questions

Frequently asked.

What information do I need to provide?
Room dimensions or an existing floor plan, appliance and fixture specifications, cabinet layout preferences, and any jurisdiction requirements you already know about. We work from sketches, photos, or finished design documents.
Are stair drawings included if my project has a new stair?
Yes. Stair sections, handrail profiles, and guardrail details are included when a stair is in scope. We draw the stair to the current IBC or IRC requirements and add jurisdiction-specific notes.
Do you handle ADA-compliant bathroom drawings?
Yes. For commercial bathroom scopes or residential projects subject to accessible design requirements, we draw elevations to ADA standards and include applicable code notes and clearance dimensions.
